Noticing my activity center

During tummy time I noticed the graphics on the mat for the first time. No one told me !!!! I like tummy time a lot more now since I can look at the colors and drawings under me.

Grapped Coco's Tail

I grabbed Coco's tail today. He was looking at me not knowing how to react. I need to learn that I cannot just grab the dogs...otherwise, I had a better day than yesterday.

[Ich habe heute Coco's Schwanz gegriffen. Er hat mich verbluefft angeschaut und wusste nicht, wie er reagieren soll. Ich muss lernen, dass ich nicht einfach nach den Hunden greifen kann...sonst hatte ich heute einen besseren Tag als gestern.]

Yoga

Today, I also tried Yoga, but I don't like the twisting.

Cranky

I'm a little bit cranky today. Cried a lot. Although my mom took me for a walk and entertained me the entire day. Guess I miss daddy...

No pimples any more

I was going through my baby photos and noticed that I don't have any baby pimples any more. Seems I'm done with that phase :)

Therapist...again

Went to the physical therapist again. She said that my neck is looking a lot better, but the exercises will still be needed for a couple more months. My head is getting more symetrical too. The 'bump' on my left side shrank by a quarter inch. She is very happy with me and I had fun with her too...and smiled.

[War wieder beim Therapisten wegen meinem Nacken. Sie sagt, dass alles sehr viel besser aussieht, ich aber die Uebungen noch fuer ein paar Monate machen muss. Mein Kopf wird auch symmetrischer. Die 'Beule' auf meiner linken Kopfseite is um 0.25 inches geschrunken. Sie ist ueber meinen Fortgang sehr erfreut und ich hatte dort viel Spass...und habe gelaechelt.]

Missing daddy

Dad started a new contract today. I miss him already... But he will be back at 5:30 to play with me :)

[Mein Vater hat heute einen neue Arbeitsstelle angetreten. Ich vermisse ihn jetzt schon. Aber um 17:30 wird er wieder hier sein um mit mir zu spielen :)]

Talking a lot

I've been talking a LOT today. First, daddy woke me up and played with me after feeding. I had sooo much fun and smiled a lot. I slept a lot too today. Smiling and having fun just makes me tired. Later we all went for a stroll through the neighborhood. Spent a lot of time with daddy as he will work tomorrow.

[Ich habe heute SEHR viel geredet. Zuerst hat mich Dad aufgeweckt und nach dem Fruehstueck mit mir gespielt. Ich hatte soooo viel Spass und habe viel gelaechelt. Ich habe heute auch sehr viel geschlafen. Lachen und Spass haben macht mich soo muede. Spaeter sind wir alle auf einen Spaziergang durch die Nachbarschaft gegangen. Habe heute sehr viel Zeit mit Dad verbracht, da er morgen ja arbeiten wird.]

Oma and Opa leaving :(

This morning, Oma Marianne and Opa Horst left again. They flew back to Germany after spending the last 4 weeks with me. We had a LOT of fun. I need to learn some German so we can talk over the Internet. Next time I might fly there to visit them :)

[Heute morgen sind Oma Marianne und Opa Horst wieder abgeflogen. Sie sind auf dem Weg zurueck nach Deutschland nachdem sie die letzten 4 Wochen mit mir verbracht haben. Wir hatten VIEL Spass. Ich muss etwas Deutsch lernen damit wir uns uebers Internet verstaendigen koennen. Und naechstes Mal muss ich dorthin fliegen :)]

Greek Lunch

Went to a greek place today for lunch. I like greek :) After that we all (mom, dad, Grandpa Horst and Grandma Marianne) to the german store to get some apple strudel and other authentic stuff. I have to go back there !

[Waren heute in einem griechischen Restaurant fuer Mittagessen. Ich mag griechisch :) Danach sind wir alle (mom, dad, Opa Horst, Oma Marianne) zum deutschen Laden gegangen und haben Apfelstrudel und andere Dinge gekauft. Hier muss ich wieder hin !]

Family Gathering

Today we had a huge family gathering at aunt Joanne's house. It was a lot of fun. Everybody wanted to hold me. I smiled a lot and hardly cried. I'm glad that I have a huge family.

I was a little bit concerned about Coco, my little nanny, though. He had a foxtail seed in his ear and needed sedation at the vet to get it out. He threw up once after the anesthesia and also had diarrhea once. But it is all fine.

[Heute hatten wir eine Familienzusammenkuft bei Tante Joanne. Es war viel Spass. Jeder wollte mich halten. Ich habe viel gelacht und wenig geschrien. Ich bin froh, dass ich eine grosse Familie habe.

Ich habe mir etwas Sorgen um Coco, meinen kleinen Babysitter, gemacht. Er hatte einen Fuchsschwanz (Maehnengerste?) im Ohr und es musste unter Narkose entfernt werden. Er hat sich dann danach einmal uebergeben und Durchfall gehabt. Jetzt ist aber alles OK.]

Dog Park Adventures - First Rain

Went to a new dog park today. Lots of fun. But a cold front is moving through so the wind picked up and we had a little storm. And it rained. My first rain :) I thought it never rains in southern California :(

[Waren heute in einem neuen Hundepark. Aber es zieht eine Kaltfront durch und wir hatten einen Sturm und Regen. Mein erster Regen :) Ich dachte aber, dass es in Suedkalifornien nie regnet :( ]

First swim lesson

Mom took me into the hot tub today. She lowered the temperature and they did not use chemicals for a couple of days. I had a lot of fun. I like the water and felt very comfortable. I guess I got that from mom.

[Mommy hat mich heute in den Jacuzzi genommen. Sie haben die Temperatur verringert und fuer einige Tage keine Chemikalien benutzt. Ich hatte viel Spass. Ich mag das Wasser und habe mich wohl gefuehlt. Ich denke, dass ich es von Mommy geerbt habe.]

Professional Photo Shoot

Went to the mall today to take my official 3 months photos in a real studio. I had a lot of fun and smiled a lot. Piece of cake. Those are great pictures and we get the prints in in 2 weeks.

At the end I upchucked half of my bottle. I now use the bigger nipple for the bottle and need to learn how to eat correctly with it...and don't eat too much which causes more gas. Give me 2 or 3 days mommy.

[War heute in dem Einkaufszentrum um die offiziellen 3 Monats Photos zu machen. Ich hatte viel Spass und habe viel gelacht. Sind wirklich gute Bilder und wir sollten sie in 2 Wochen abholen koennen.

Am Ende habe ich die Haelfte meiner Flasche uebergeben. Ich benutze ja jetzt groessere Nuckel und muss lernen, wie man mit denen nicht zu schnell trinkt...was mehr Luft verursachen kann. Gib mir 2-3 Tage um mich daran zu gewoehnen Mom.]

Drew's Birthday Party

Hi there! Today I was invited to Drew's birthday party. He is 1 year old now. Drew is the boy from the dog park. Was a lot of fun. I observed everything and looking forward to my birthday. You get so many nice little toys to play with :)

[Hallo! Heute war ich bei Drew's Geburtstagsfeier eingeladen. Er ist jetzt 1 Jahr alt. Drew ist der Junge vom Hundepark. Hatte viel Spass und habe mir alles angeschaut. Kann meinen Geburtstag nicht erwarten...man bekommt viele Geschenke zum Spielen :)]

First life lesson

First lesson I learned: don't spit up when you lay flat on your back. It all comes down again into your face. It is like peeing into the wind.

At the lake

Mom and grandparents took me and the dogs out again....to the lake this time. It was a very hot day but fun. Coco played with poo and Taylor had fun in the water. Later, I left a HUGE load in the diaper ;)

[Mom und meine Grosseltern haben mich und die Hunde zum See mitgenommen. Es war sehr heiss heute, aber hatten viel Spass. Coco hat mit Mist gespielt und Taylor hatte Spass im Wasser. Spaeter habe ich meine Windeln so richtig vollgeschissen ;)]

Happy Birthday to me: 3 months old

Happy Birthday to me!!! I'm 3 months old and having a blast. I have been very happy and a relaxed baby which makes my parents happy and less stressed. Any gifts for me? Anyone?

Carlsbad walk

My mom took me, my grandparents Horst and Marianne and the dogs to Carlsbad for a stroll, lunch and ice cream. Dad stayed home...he is recovering from the stomach flu. Was a lot of fun and the dogs had a blast. I'm tired now...Pictures will follow later.

I'm 90 days old today

I'm 90 days old today. My real birthday is tomorrow though. Looking forward to it: 3 months old.

My lacrimal gland

My lacrimal gland can now produce water and it produces tears when I cry. Interesting. It is salty!

Rolling over

I now can roll over. Mom puts me on tummy-time in the activity gym and, since I don't like that, I roll over onto my back...without any help. Juhuu.

Mother's Day part 2

My dad was sick on Mother's day and upchucked like I usually do. Not fun. We all went to the German restaurant, but the food was not that good. Later they took me to the dog park with the dogs and I met aunt Joanne again.

Today, the day after Mother's day, I'm upset. I cry a lot and just don't settle down. It is not my day.

[Mein Vater war am Muttertag krank. Er hat sich uebergeben wie ich es normalerweise mache. Kein Spass. We waren alle essen im Deutschen Restaurant, aber das Essen war nicht so gut. Spaeter haben sie mich mit den Hunden zum Hundepark gebracht, wo ich aunt Joanne wiedersah.

Heute, der Tag nach Muttertag, bin ich nicht so gut drauf und schreie fiel. Ist nicht mein Tag.]

Evening routine

I'm getting into my evening routine. Feeding and then a bath at ~7:30 or 8pm. Then my mom (sometimes dad) is reading me a book and I slowly transition from fussy to sleepy.

[Ich gewoehne mich langsam an meine Abendroutine. Essen und dann ein Bad um 19:30 oder 20 Uhr. Dann liesst mir meine Mutter (Hinundwieder mein Vater) ein Buch vor und ich gleite langsam vom Meckern in den Schlaf.]

Very happy

Daddy gave me a bath today and a nice massage. I like massages now :)

My parents will take some time off today to go get sushi and celebrate their 2 year anniversary. My grandparents will take care of me today :)

Vaccine Clinic

My parents took me to another visit to the vaccine clinic. Today I got a shot for pneumococcal meningitis and one for hepatitis. I'm ok with all vaccines now until I'm 4 months old :)

[Meine Eltern haben mich wieder zur Impfambulanz gebracht. Heute bin ich gegen Hirnhautentzuendung und Hepatitis geimpft worden. Jetzt bin ich ok bis ich 4 Monate alt bin :)]

Yahoo Messenger is the winner

We have tried Skype, WengoPhone and researched other programs to allow my parents from Germany to see and talk to me over the internet. Yahoo Messenger is the only program which actually works and has good quality. Skype has video issues (and horrible support) and Wengophone horrible audio quality. Too many issues. Now we are ready for audio and video at all times :) Finally.

[Wir haben alles ausprobiert: Skype, Wengophone, etc um meinen Eltern aus Deutschland es zu ermoeglichen mit mir ueber das Internet zu sprechen und mich sehen zu koennen. Yahoo Messenger ist das einzige Programm, was wirklich funktioniert und gute Qualitaet hat. Skype hat Videoprobleme (und schlechten Support) und Wengophone eine sehr schlechte Tonqualitaet. Zu viele Probleme. Jetzt aber sind wir fertig und koennen Audio und Video zu jeder Zeit benutzen :) Endlich.]
