Growth spurt

I need the 5 ounces every two hours for the last couple of days. Must be my planned growth spurt. I also have been crying a lot more in the last couple of days. LOTS of gas. I need to burp after feeding and then 60 min later again when more gas has accumulated. I also fart a lot - still.
Otherwise samo samo.

[Ich brauche jetzt meine 5 Unzen jede 2 Stunden. Habe meinen geplanten Wachstumsspurt. Ich schreie auch wieder öfters. Habe VIEL Luft. Ich muß nach jedem Essen rülpsen und furze auch viel. Und eine Stunde nach dem Essen, habe ich auch immer sehr viel Luft. Sonst alles wie gehabt.]

Did I eat beans or what !?

I did not know that babies can fart this much. Good that all windows are open, otherwise...

It is quite warm again and I just launch in my diapers. It will be a relaxing day today. I don't have to go anywhere.

Es ist heute wieder sehr warm und ich liege hier in meinen Windels. Es wird ein entspannender Tag. Ich muss nirgendwo hin.]

Another fun day

Another fun day at Joanne's. I have soo much fun over there. Hope that I will sleep good tonight.

Heavy diaper

My diaper this morning was as heavy as I am. I was quite busy at night with my deposits....just wanted to share this.

At 5 ounces now

I'm eating and eating and eating. I'm almost at 5 ounces per bottle now....and I need a bottle every 2 hours.

[Ich esse und esse und esse. Ich brauch jetzt fast 5 ounces in jeder Flasche...und ich brauche die Flasche jede 2 Stunden.]

Immunizations

I got my schedule for the doctor visits today. Will be busy in April to go to the occupational therapist for my neck and to the pediatrician to get my first shots :(

[Ich habe heute die Termine fuer meine Doktorbesuche bekommen. Ich bin im April ganz schoen beschaeftigt. Muss zur Therapeutin wegen meinem Nacken und bekomme beim Kinderarzt meine ersten Impfungen :( ]

My new activity center

Really bad night

I kept my mom awake last night. I cried and cried, was fuzzy. I was in a really bad mood. Maybe I was overstimulated from the long outing during the day.

[Ich habe meine Mutter letzte Nacht wachgehalen. Ich habe viel geschrien und gemeckert. Ich hatte wirklich schlechte Laune. Vieleicht bin ich tagsueber bei Joanne ueberstimuliert worden.]

Fun Day

I had a fun day today. Spent half of the day at Joanne's and was totally awake most of the time. I will sleep very well tonight :)

[Ich hatte heute eine Fun Tag. War den halben Tag bei Joanne und war die meiste Zeit wach. Ich werde heute Nacht sehr gut schlafen :)]

Smiling more

I smile a lot more. Everytime somebody kisses me, I totally smile.

Keep my head up high

I'm a lot more awake today and look around and soak everything in. I can also keep my head high without help for 30 seconds straight when I do tummy time. That is a huge improvement.

[Ich bin heute sehr viel mehr aufmerksam. Ich kann meinen Kopf alleine fuer 30 sekunden hochhalten ohne Hilfe. Das ist eine grosse Verbesserung.]

Another bath

Got another bath today. I love it. Dad will upload a great video in the next couple of days.

Happy Birthday

I'm 4 weeks old today. Happy Birthday!! Mom gave me an extra ounce of Milk.

Present for grandma

I gave grandma a present today. A huge projectile vomit after feeding. I like to share food you know. She needed to change me after that.

[Ich habe Oma heute ein Geschenk gemacht. "Projektilerbrechen" nach dem Essen. Du weisst, ich will das Essen mit anderen teilen. Danach musste sie meine Kleidung wechseln.]

First Grasp

I grasped my bottle !!! Big milestone. Mommy was feeding me the bottle and did not hold it right. You know, I need to have the bottle perfectly in my mouth. So I took both hands trying to move it into the right position and hold it. Way to go !!

[Ich habe meine Flasche gehalten !!! Grosser Meilenstein. Mom hat mich mit der Flasche gefuettert, hat aber die Flasche nicht richtig gehalten. Ich muss die Flasche genau richtig im Mund haben. Also habe ich meine Haende genommen und versucht die Flasche in die richtige Stellung zu positionieren und habe sie gehalten. Gut gemacht !!]

The other set of grandparents are coming soon

My dad told me that my other set of grandparents are coming in 7 weeks. Great! But I need to brush up on my German.

[Mein Dad hat mir erzaehlt, dass meine anderen Grosseltern in etwa 7 Wochen kommen werden. Super! Ich muss aber etwas an meinem Deutsch arbeiten.]

Tested Grandma

I was up every 2 hours last night and kept my grandma up. I still don't know day from night. Sorry.

[Ich war jetzte Nacht alle 2 Stunden wach und habe meine Oma wachgehalten. Ich verwechsele noch immer Tag und Nacht. Sorry.]

Less colic? No way!

My parents thought I have less colic and cry less. Not so. I cried the whole day - just for fun. Drives my parents crazy. Fun!

Nanny coming

My nanny (grandma) is coming down from LA to visit us for 3 days :) She will take over the night shift so my parents can get some rest. They are sleep deprived and need a break.

[Meine Grossmutter kommt fuer 3 Tage von Los Angeles und wird die Nachtschicht uebernehmen. Meine Eltern bekommen nicht viel Schlaf und muessen aufholen.]

The 3 ounces sit well

When my parents increased the food intake from 2 to 3 ounces, I thought I will upchuck food a lot more...not so. I need the 3 ounces and my stomach is stretching and stretching. One of the nurses told me (ok, my dad) that my stomach was the size of an egg...2 weeks ago.

[Als meine Eltern das Essen von 2 auf 3 ounces erhoeht haben, dachte ich dass ich mehr kotzen muss. Das ist aber nicht so. Ich brauche alle 3 ounces und mein Magen dehnt sich mehr und mehr aus. In Krankenhaus hat eine der Krankenschwestern mir (ok, meinem Dad) gesagt, dass mein Magen die groesse eines Ei habe...das war vor 2 Wochen.]

Less colic

I noticed that I'm having less colic and cry less. I still cry for all other reasons, but I feel very comfortable at home now...after almost 3 weeks there...that I don't have to cry that much any more.

[Ich habe gemerkt, dass ich weniger Kolik habe und weniger schreie. Ich schreie noch immer fuer alles andere, aber ich fuehle mich jetzt nach fast 3 Wochen sehr wohl in meinem neuen Zuhause.]

Walked the dogs

Had my first outdoor trip today. Went with the dogs to the duck park. Well, I slept the whole time, but my mom told me it is good for me...fresh air and stuff. They made sure that I'm away from any germs. No one came near me.

[Habe meine erste Erkundungstour hinter mir. War im Park mit den Hunden. Ok, ich habe die ganze Zeit geschlafen, aber Mom sagte, dass frische Luft gut fuer mich ist. Meine Eltern haben sichergestellt, dass mir keiner zu Nahe kam...Bakterien usw.]

Going for 3 ounces

It's mommies night tonight. Maybe I keep her up too...like daddy last night.

We increased the bottle to 3 ounces per feeding. I'm soooo hungry.

Wide awake

I kept daddy up from 1am to 6am last night. That was fun. I cried most of the time. Mostly because I had gas, but also because I wanted to play and eat. He was not amused at all.

[Ich habe Dad von 1 bis 6 Uhr morgens wachgehalten. Das war ein Spass. Ich habe die meiste Zeit geschrien. Ich war hungrig, dann zu viel Luft und ich wollte spielen. Er war garnicht erfreut.]

Social Security Card

I got my social security card today :) Have to figure out how to sign it though. And I have to learn about ID theft.

[Habe heute meine Sozialversicherungsnummer bekommen :) Ich muss nur einen Weg finden, wie ich sie unterschreiben kann. Und ich muss lernen wie ich mich vor Identitaetsdiebstahl schuetzen kann.]

Crying less and eating more

I have better nights. Less crying and less colic. But it seems I get hungry more often, so my parents need to feed me at least 3 times between midnight and 8am. I'm growing !!

[Meine Naechte werden besser. Weniger schreien und Kolik. Aber es scheint, dass ich jetzt oefters hungrig bin. Meine Eltern muessen mich mindestens 3 mal in der Nacht (zwischen Mitternacht und 8 Uhr) fuettern. Ich wachse !!]

1001 Faces and No Pacifier

I am discovering all the facial muscles and make all kinds of weird faces. It is a lot of fun :) Smiling, frowning, guilty look, surprised look....

I don't like the plastic pacifier that much. Maybe I just fear the chemicals in there? I prefer my dad's finger to calm me down. Maybe because I'm used to his finger feeding me in the hospital the first week after birth.

[I entdecke die verschiedenen Muskeln im Gesicht und mache viele Grimassen. Macht viel Spass :) Lachen, etc...

Ich mag den Plastikschnuller ueberhaupt nicht. Vieleicht wegen den Chemikalien? Ich bevorzuge Daddies Finger. Vieleicht bin ich den Finger vom Krankenhaus gewoehnt. Daddy musste mich mit dem Finger fuettern.]

Still gassy

Still had gas last night, but it is better now. Seems that I always have a 2-4 hour period every day or night in which I have a lot of gas and spit up a lot. Grrrr. And I still have longer periods of crying.

BTW, I had a HUGE poo today. I'm proud. Well, I don't have to clean it up....

[Hatte noch immer zu viel Luft letzte Nacht, es geht aber besser. Es scheint, dass ich jeden Tag oder Nacht fuer 2-4 Stunden viel Luft habe und erbreche. Grrrr. Und ich schreie noch immer jeden Tag.]

Sick

ohhhhh. My stomach.....I upchuck my dinner. All 2 ounces. I've been crying for 30 min. What is wrong with the formula?? ohhhh. I'm getting tired now. I'm exhausted. My mom will use the milk/lactose free formula for the rest of the night...

[Ohhhh, mein Magen. Ich erbreche mein Abendessen. Alle 60 Milliliter. Ich schreie seit 30 Minuten. What ist mit dem Essen los?? Ohhhh. Jetzt bin ich muede. Mom wird die Laktose freie Milch fuer die Nacht benutzen...]

First Massage

Had another bath today - I like it. I like the water :)
Then daddy gave me a massage with baby oil. I don't like that at all - I cried the whole time. Maybe I need to get use to it.

[Hatte heute wieder ein Bad. Ich liebe ein Bad und Wasser :)
Dann hat Dad mir mit Baby Oel eine Massage gegeben. Das mochte ich ueberhaupt nicht und habe die ganze Zeit geschrien. Ich muss mich daran wohl gewoehnen.]

Watch my parents work

My parents cleaned the front yard today and I watched them from the garage. I saw a lawn mower for the first time in my life :) One day I will do it for daddy.

[Meine Eltern haben sich heute um den Garten gekuemmert und ich habe zum ersten Mal einen Rasenmaeher gesehen :) Eines Tages werde ich fuer Dad den Rasen maehen.]

Have been very busy and bad hair day

I have been very busy the last couple of days. Sleeping during the day and crying at night. It seems I spit up a lot at night and have gas problems. Last night I bugged daddy from 2 to 6am. He was not happy.

And, I have bad hair this morning.

[Ich war in den letzten Tagen sehr beschaeftigt. Tagsueber schlafen und Nachts schreien. Es scheint, dass ich Nachts viele Probleme mit Luft habe und ich uebergebe mich. Letzte Nacht habe ich Dad von 2 bis 6 Uhr morgens wachgehalten. Er war nicht begeistert.]
