I was hoping when I was born that technology would have evolved so far that I can talk with and see my grandparents in Germany quite easily. Not so. We are still having a lot of problems and quality issues with Skype and other similar services :( . I told my dad that I want to have Linux or Ubuntu installed on my computer when I'm old enough.
Talked with my grandparents from Germany today. First, the audio quality was horrible (WengoPhone), but the video was good. Then we switched to Skype, where the video only works in one direction, but the audio quality is better. They saw me making noises and spitting on the keyboard. Another 9 days and they will fly to San Diego :)
[Als ich geboren wurde habe ich gehofft, dass sich die Technologie soweit entwickelt hat dass ich problemlos mit meinen Grosseltern in Deutschland reden und sehen kann. Das ist aber nicht der Fall. Wir haben noch immer viele Probleme und schlechte Qualitaet mit Skype und anderen aehnlichen Programmen :( . I habe meinem Dad gesagt, dass ich entweder Linux oder Ubuntu auf meinem Rechner haben moechte, wenn ich alt genug bin.
Habe heute mit meinen Grosseltern in Deutschland geredet. Zuerst war die Audioqualitaet saumaessig (WengoPhone), aber Video war ok. Dann haben wir Skype benutzt, wo das Video nur in eine Richtung funktioniert, aber Audio besser ist. Sie sahen mich als ich auf die Tastatur gespuckt habe und wie ich viele Geraeusche gemacht habe. Noch 9 Tage bis meine Grosseltern nach San Diego fliegen :)]
