THE FUN ISN’T OVER YET!

While our AAA Brewers and Gaints, and Majors Mets teams continue to compete in the Vista City Tournament, our AA/A/T-Ball divisions have completed play.  There may be some disappointment that the season is complete, but we’ve got one more great day/way to celebrate.

RBVLL’s closing ceremonies will begin promptly at 10:00 on Saturday June 7 on the Majors field.  It will be a chance to say goodbye to your teammates from the season and start making plans for your next season.   We’ll thank our sponsors and volunteers and all of our players will receive end of the season awards.   We’ll have Winterball registration available and we’ll wrap up the day with our annual home run derby.  The snack bar will be serving the last meals of the season (before All Stars).

 Here’s the schedule of events:

9:45 – All players report to the Majors field in game shirts/caps – full uniforms not required, no cleats.

10:00 – 11:00 Closing ceremonies featuring welcoming remarks, farewell to departing board members, thanks to sponsors and volunteers, welcoming of new board members, and awards handed out to all players announced individually.  Season yearbooks will be handed out as players leave the field.

11:30 – Home run derby on the Minors field.  All players who have hit an “over the fence” home run during the spring season and city tournaments are welcome to participate.  Players can choose to have a parent, coach or machine do the pitching for them.

Parking will be available at the Vista Optimist Club and on Lupine Hills until 12:00 noon.
