RBVLL 2014 Season - Thunder = Baseball League

Hello Thunder,
Welcome to the RBVLL 2014 season. My name is Mike Ramos and I will be your child's team manager for baseball this year. Our team name is the Thunder and we are in the single A division. I look forward to a fun and exciting season. Most importantly, we will be having fun playing baseball!

I am excited to be coaching your child about the fundamentals of baseball and being apart of the team and community. I have been a coach for my son's baseball teams for the past two years. I decided to volunteer as manager this year because I have a blast coaching baseball to kids and I understand the lifelong lessons and memories little league brings.

I introduced myself to many parents last night as well as left voicemails to those I could not reach. Below is a recap of some of the information I provided:

Practice- We might have practice as early as this week. The moment I find out the practice schedule I will forward it on to all parents. I was told that all practices prior to opening day will be held at RBVLL. After opening day normal practices will be held at lake Elementary.

Volunteers- I am in need of a team mom/parent and coaches. Please let me know ASAP if you would like to volunteer. Prior baseball experience is not required. For the single A division teams can have more than 4 coaches on the field but higher division can have no more than 4. There will be a mandatory team parent meeting taking place on Wednesday Feb. 19th at 7pm.

Games- We will have two games per week. One during the week and one on Saturday. In the event we play during "Friday Night Lights" we will have no game on Saturday.

Equipment for 1st practice- Glove, cleats, and water. Further equipment needs will be discussed at practice.

I will be giving more detailed information and answering questions the last 10 minutes of the first practice. If you have questions that can wait until then it is better to ask them there so other parents can join in on the conversations and questions. I will meet and see you all soon.

Thanks,
Mike Ramos
